"Blindness Essay"

Yesterday I finished a book called "Blindness". The book is so impressive that I still think about it. The author is incredibly critical of the system.

The book begins with a man suddenly shouting "I've gone blind" in traffic. The man has been blind, but this blindness is different from the others. The man begins to see white everywhere. The author writes in the book, "It's like falling into a pool of milk."

This blindness spreads to everyone. The government finds the solution to this disease, which infects many people, by sending people to a mental hospital building. There is one person among these people, and the whole story is based on her. She is the only one who sees among the blind.
The author did not write the name of any character in his book. He introduced the characters with certain features. And this non-blind woman is also called the "doctor's wife"

A lot of amazing things happen in the book. I would love to write them all. But that would be very difficult. By the end of the book, all humanity has gone blind. The whole world is destroyed. Humanity reverts to its unevolved form. People do brutal things during this time. And what these people do is very surprising to us, modern humans. But at the end of the book, something happens. The first blind suddenly starts shouting "I see". But there is one who is never blind; doctor's wife.

The part that inspired me the most in this book was the things people do when they have to. "Are people that simple?" I thought. Really.... I think we depend on survival instincts. And we cannot destroy it. We cannot deny it.
